Overview of The 1st National Conference on Peer Education, HIV and AIDS

On June 16th to 18th June 2004, NOPE held the 1st National Conference on Peer Education, HIV and AIDS under the theme “Let’s question our Relationships”. The response to the conference was overwhelming and it brought together 600 delegates drawn from about 150 organizations.

Late abstract submition

This year’s late conference submission has been announced. Authors who were closed out in the just concluded call can now submit through the conference website or the conference2012@nope.or.ke by Tuesday 15th, May 2012. The technical committee will require abstracts to be aligned to the conference tracks. A notification will be generated automatically through the conference website if you use the abstract submission wizard. After review you will be notified of receipt through the conference secretariat.

Currently the conference secretariat is looking for sponsors, there are limited opportunities for scholarship to the conference. We encourage young people to seek for resources from other sources. To apply go the Sponsorship page.

Last week a friend was so angry that most of the times when I use prefix “e” before of a word I use lowercase and capitalize of the next character. It is out of preference, however I know in this case Health is the important outcome we want and electronic is the means we deliver the service. This brings me to my next note, is deliver more important than the service? Definitely the answer is NO! How to make a basic PowerPoint presentation

I have written for those who fear presentations and working with windows computers, however if it is of benefit to you to improve on what you have welcome. I will look at key steps of making a Microsoft PowerPoint but I am sure these steps can work for any other software for making presentations. Like Microsoft word that creates documents we call PowerPoint results presentations, so much so as words divisions are pages a slide is unit of a presentation. PowerPoint can be described as the software that creates presentations or slide shows.

The call for abstracts for the 5th Conference, has been extended to March 29, 2012.Calling practioners in Reproductive Health, Peer Education including Sexuality. Government bodies, Workplaces, NGOs, FBOs, CBOs, YSOs, scientists, manufacturers, and others in the health sector to submit their abstracts.

How do I register for the 5th conference?

To register for the conference you need to pay delegate registration fee which is divided into Early and Late Registration.
Early registration will attract s discount, it begins from Sept 15th, 2011 and ends in Jan 15th, 2012.
